This weeks featured vinyl: Lynyrd Skynyrd’s fourth studio album coming after three dynamite albums, was a disappointment to many. It remains the only album by the precrash lineup to have not reached platinum or higher although being certified Gold in 1981. From 1976 its Gimme Back My Bullets.

This weeks features vinyl: In 1973 John Entwistle was put in charge of compiling an album to counter the rampant bootlegging of The Who’s concerts. Consisting of studio outtakes and rarities, two LPs of material were collected but only one was released. From 1974 its Odds & Sods.

This week’s featured vinyl: This live recording captures bluesman and rock n’ roll pioneer Bo Diddley performing with Ron Wood. Most tracks are Diddley originals with some Wood, Faces and Rolling Stones tunes thrown in. It’s the Japanese pressing of 1988′s Live at the Ritz.

This weeks featured vinyl: Ending the year with an ‘ol favorite. It’s the first official compilation album by The Rolling Stones during their Atlantic Records contract; it draws from 1971′s Sticky Fingers to 1974′s It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll, with no new material. From 1975 it’s Made in the Shade.
