The 50th broadcast of Infinite Beat features a new compilation release called Constructions Vol. 1. Released by David Last‘s newly launched record label, Last Faith Studios, Constructions showcases an all star cast of collaborating producers and artists like Robin Hitchcock, Christina Chatfield, Lavender and David Last himself. Through music, Last and his collaborators used the process of creation as a way of coping and connecting through their collective mourning post-Oakland Fire. Highly recommended.

Afterwards, Last shares an exclusive mix for Infinite Beat. Full of favorites that he and his partner Chelsea Faith Dolan (Cherushii) found inspiration from while listening in their home studio as well as Chu Ishikawa clips stemming from Last’s love of film, soundtracks and the composers that have inspired his own music. Last Faith Studio’s first digital release is out today! To celebrate, David Last created a beautiful mix for INFINITE BEAT, celebrating the music of Chu Ishikawa, a Japanese composer that he and Chelsea Faith (Cherushii) shared a great admiration for as well as other tracks that they loved to play in their home and studio where they made beautiful magic happen.

Infinite Beat returns for 2018 with Broadcast 49. Starting with a short feature on David Last’s new release on Jacktone Records, 88-99. A compilation of unreleased tracks from 1988-1999, it shows decades of the eclectic range and endless talent from the veteran producer.

Afterwards is a short interview with a new rising producer, Atlas of Nothing. His productions range from hard-hitting acidic techno to deep experimental ambient. With a forthcoming release on Experimental Housewife’s new label, Perfect Location in the spring, AON is a producer to watch for 2018. Enjoy.
