The Alchemist Lair is soon to be retired. If fact, this may be the final episode. Why? My reasons for starting this show as an offshoot of the Conflux Cornucopia Cerebellum Cocktail Hour was to give a platform for my heavier music and allow the less heavy side of my musical psyche to explore that side more completely with the mothership show. And for a time, that has been pretty fulfilling. However, now that I have made some adjustments to bring the scheduling of the two shows together for a four hour continuous shift in both live run time and replay time, I am finding I have both a desire to reintegrate the two shows back together, and take advantage of the breath in four hours that is more difficult in a two hour set. I can now meander through different styles offering a greater variety of play over a longer span, making the breath of the show more conducive to accommodating such wide ranges of sonic style. So, with that, I am contracting the Alchemist's Lair back home into the Conflux Cornucopia Cerebellum Cocktail Hour. What will likely happen, even with a contraction, is that I will inevitably design a show night that is entirely "The Alchemist's Lair", and I can add to the pantheon.
