Bullwinkle vs Faco - A Sunday Streets Battle Royal!
It happened on a Sunday, on the streets of San Francisco. In fact, it was Sunday Streets on Valencia Street in San Francisco. It was a battle to end all battles, DJ Bullwinkle vs. DJ Faco. A Battle Royal, Song vs. Song! Only the strong would survive.
Even thought Faco won the coin toss. He faltered and it was up to Bullwinkle to start things off. Bullwinkle came out swinging!
1st Round
Bullwinkle - Winner by Cheeseburger
Faco - Brotherhood Of The Harvest by Comets On Fire
2nd Round
Bullwinkle - Downtown Oakland by Fungo Mungo
Faco - Freedom! 90 by George Michael
3rg Round

Both DJ's fought with gusto. It was a hard fought battle to end. There could only be ONE!!!! Today was not going to be either DJ's day. The judges ruled the battle a draw, a tie. This is not the end for these two competitors; there will be a rematch.......

Radio Valencia Sunday Streets In The Mission - July 1, 2012
Radio ValenciaSunday Streets In The Mission - July 1, 2012
Sunday Streets is a series of events put on by the City of San Francisco to encourage health, community and fun, inspired by similar events in cities throughout the world. A Sunday Streets event creates a large, temporary, public space by closing off stretches of a neighborhood's streets to automobile traffic, and opening them to pedestrians, bicyclists, and activities for several hours on a predetermined Sunday.
Radio Valencia set up a broadcast tent in front of Stagewerx theater for the event. We had a swell time with ten different DJs on hand spinning records and shooting the breeze.
Here is the DJ schedule (show name in parentheses)...
11:00 AM - Faco! (Spontaneous Innuendos)
11:30 AM - John Hell (A Season In Hell)
12:00 PM - Bluebonnet (Strickly Business)
12:30 PM - Bunnywhiskers (Bunnywhiskers)
