Rock ‘n Roll Station – A Shattered Hourglass In A Pool Of Melted Beeswax Where Our Heartprints Used To Kiss The Sheets
Tuesday, March 26
12am
Rock ‘n Roll Station returns this week with Broadcast #13, in which we premiere standout tracks from new releases by Wire, Karl Bartos (formerly of Kraftwerk), Pixel, Murderous Vision, and the beautifully melancholy 4AD album debut by Daughter, If You Leave (wasn’t that the name of a song by OMD?) The six-hour playlist also features classic recordings by Robert Wyatt, Cyclobe, Joy Division, Heidi Berry, Faust and the Paris Sisters, among others.
Rock ‘n Roll Station airs each Monday at midnight, going all the way till 6:00 AM Tuesday morning and presenting six hours of eclectic, free-form music programming, with the emphasis on dark, strange and obscure recordings, including ambient, industrial, avant-garde, experimental, punk/post-punk, rock, pop, jazz, folk, classical, soundtracks, spoken word and more…
The playlist gives artist name, song title, and album title (in that order). A space between lines of text indicates the break between sets where track announcements were made.
