For the very last episode of the Geek EmaNation Show, The Rock’N’Roll Nurse presents yet another interview with GLENN MERCER, co-founder of indie-rock pioneers THE FEELIES.  In honor of the 40th Anniversary since the first FEELIES club performance and the re-release of the albums Only Life and Time For A Witness, both records are presented in their entirety with commentary by Mr. MERCER.  It’s been grand, but now it’s time to move on, fellow music geeks!

EDWARD ROGERS may not be a household name, but for the past decade and change he has been quietly putting out records that synthesize British and American pop from the 1960s to the 1980s with precision and beauty.  His latest epic release Glass Marbles presents 19 songs (culled from 50 actually written!) that were written and recorded over a year’s time, featuring songs celebrating the past, present and future in equal measure.  His commentary punctuates a presentation of the entire album on this intimate episode of The Geek EmaNation Show.  Get real and get gone, fellow music geeks!

THE POP GROUP exploded brilliantly in the late ’70s-early ’80s and then members splintered off for years to other worthy musical projects.  They reemerged in the 2010s with great performances, a new album (Citizen Zombie) and some essential reissues.  Last year brought a re-release of their seminal sophomore effort For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder, and this episode of The Geek EmaNation Show features that album in its entirety along with feisty commentary by co-founder MARK STEWART.  Time to draw a line, fellow music geeks!

L.A. hippie/jazz/pop pioneers SPIRIT were a big part of the early rock education of host The Rock’N’Roll Nurse, and looked in the late ’60s like they would be as huge as contemporaries JIMI HENDRIX and LED ZEPPELIN.  But like so many near-miss stories, they had the supreme bad luck of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Hear their classic LP 12 Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus in its entirety, as well as choice selections from their previous 3 records on this love-bead laden episode of The Geek EmaNation Show.  Truckin’ Topanga-style, fellow music geeks!
